Make better decisions with the help of a Thrive Huddle

Running your own business can be lonely - especially when it comes to decision-making.

Whilst your friends and family can be a fantastic support for you along your entrepreneurial journey, they may not necessarily make the best business advisers. As you may have experienced in the Thrive Meetups, it can be helpful to tap into other “business brains” on a regular basis, to help you find the clarity and direction you need to grow a healthy, small business.

Over the last 2 years whilst developing Thrive, I have found it really useful to turn to other women for business advice and guidance - all of whom have generously shared their expertise and experience, and enabled me to make improvements to my business.

This is why I decided to create Thrive Huddles - so that you can also benefit from receiving advice and guidance from other female founders and women in business in a formal, structured way.

What is a Thrive Huddle?

Think of a Thrive Huddle as an accountability group on steroids(!) - although, its formal name is an ‘action learning set’.

Working in small groups known as ‘sets’, a maximum of six female founders and women in business work together to tackle important business challenges, and learn from each other’s attempts to improve things.

It is a confidential space for Thrive members to share their experiences, learn together, and as a result, make improvements to their businesses.

How often does a Thrive Huddle meet?

Members of a Thrive Huddle meet once a month on Zoom, for two hours, to discuss their business challenges and exchange advice based on their own experience and expertise.

Will I get the chance to talk about my business in depth?

Absolutely! At each Thrive Huddle, which I will facilitate, two members of the group have 45 minutes each, to share specific business challenges they are facing. The other group members then offer advice and potential solutions to those two participants. At the following action learning set, those two participants update the group on what they implemented as a result of their group discussion. This process is then repeated on a monthly basis, until every member of the set has had the opportunity to discuss their business challenges.

How can I learn from each other’s business challenges?

Action learning sets are carefully designed and facilitated to enable you to take action, and then learn from that action - as a group.

Even if you are in a different industry to other members of the Huddle, you will still be able to learn from each other. Often, businesses face similar challenges despite operating in completely different sectors.

How will the group maintain confidentiality?

Before your first Thrive Huddle, each member of your group will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). This way, whatever is discussed in your group, will stay within your group and won’t be shared in public.

How much does it cost?

Each Thrive Huddle costs £30 per person which is payable before each Thrive Huddle. The payment can be made via bank transfer, once I have emailed you an invoice.

Why do I need to commit to attending at least three Thrive Huddles?

Group members must commit to attending three Huddles (the dates will be provided in advance). This way, by the end of the three months, all six members within the Huddle will have discussed their specific challenges. Once the three Thrive Huddles have ended, the group members can choose whether to continue in that group, swap to another group or withdraw from the action learning set initiative altogether.

Sounds great! How do I join a Thrive Huddle?

The Thrive Huddles are starting in October! If you would like to join a group, please get in contact with the name and age of your business, your industry, your core products and services and preferred days. I will then try to balance out the groups to ensure that the group members have a diverse range of skills and experience within them.
